In my opinion, this is by far one of the easiest, tastiest and healthiest complete grilling meals ever!
I used:
1 lb sirloin steak (could use ribeye steak if you want more flavor), cut into large cubes
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into large cubes
4 strips of bacon, cut in half
1/2 of a red onion
1 each: red bell pepper, green bell pepper, yellow bell pepper
k-bob skewers, soaked in water (prevents burning on the grill)
*could also add tomatoes, mushrooms, potatoes, or any other veggies desired
I alternated the veggies with the meat, making sure to start and finish with veggies on each k-bob. For the chicken k-bobs I also wrapped one half of a strip of bacon around it for a little added flavor. Add your favorite spices, I like a nice coarse-grained seasoned salt or steakhouse blend seasoning.
Grill on each side for about 4-5 minutes or until desired doneness on the beef and the juice from the chicken is clear.
This in and of itself is a delicious, high-protein, low-fat, vitamin-packed dinner! I like to serve it with long-grain wild rice, a fresh salad and fresh-baked crescent rolls.
Enjoy!
