You will need:
5 oz. low-sodium soy sauce
1/2 c sugar
Some Accent (natural flavor enhancer)
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/2 of a white onion, sliced into rings
3-4 green onions, chopped
1 tsp corn starch
1 tsp oil
1 lb of thin sliced steak
Combine all of the above ingredients in a large ziplock bag and allow to marinate for at least four hours. I like to make it the night before and marinate overnight.
Next, get your grill ready and cook until desired doneness.
I also reserved the marinade and heated it to a boil in a small saucepan, so we could add extra on too of the steak when serving.
I have also cooked this dish in a soup pot on the stove or also on low for about four hours in the crockpot. Any of these ways of preparing are all equally delicious!
Served the teriyaki steak with a side of steamed rice and some Asian broccoli salad. Again, just delicious, low fat and full of nutrients! Enjoy!
