Here's what I used:
5 quart size freezer bags
organic baby spinach
1/2 container strawberries
1 pint blueberries
2 1/2 bananas
5 kiwis
10 baby carrots
For the fruit and veggies, I made sure that the kiwis were peeled, and roughly chopped the strawberries, kiwis and carrots so that it was easier on the blender when time. I simply divvied up the fruit and veggies among the five bags and then added two handfuls of spinach to each bag. I would guess that it's probably close to two cups of spinach per bag. As you seal the bags, make sure to get as much of the air out as possible. Now you've got the basics ready for your morning smoothie!
I am imagining the next batch to have more strawberries, blueberries, maybe add in some pineapple or mango! Yum! What are some of your favorite green smoothie recipes?
