Folks, this was honestly the easiest wreath I've ever made!
First, I'd like to thank the $1 store for everything! From the pool noodle "wreath" to the flowers, sunglasses and flip flops - did it all for less than $12!
Second, thanks Pinterest for the pinspiration!
So, to get this wreath started, I headed to my Mom and Dad's because my dad has anything and everything that anyone ever needs for any project, DIY or repair needs! To get the pool noodle to stick together and form a circle, we started with a piece of scrap garden hose cut to approx 12" long and inserted into both ends of the noodle and brought it around to connect the two ends. Then, we taped the two ends together with aluminum tape which according to my dad is one of the strongest tapes available. And viola! We have a noodle wreath!

Next, I started laying out the flip flops around the wreath, alternating colors and also the direction that the flip flops were glued (I.e. Toes in vs toes out). Then simply glue down with your hot glue gun. Just be careful not to touch the tip of the glue fun to the noodle because it will melt it! I cut the flowers down to single stems and simply inserted them into the noodle - no need to even glue! Lastly, I took the sunglasses and inserted one arm of the sunglasses frame around one of the flip flop straps. Do the same thing with the other arm with the adjacent flip flop.
And that's it! Took only 30 minutes from start to finish and looks so great! Love my new, fun summer-time wreath! Stay tuned in a few weeks for my 4th of July/Americana wreath coming soon!
