This month officially kicks off summer, and one of the many things I love about summer is grilling out! You will notice that the majority of the dinners I have planned have us grilling out, enjoying the weather and NOT heating up the inside of the house! It's time to get creative and try new marinades, spices and sauces; new ways to grill veggies and fruits, even some grilled bread! Let's get this summer started! :D

Whew! I feel like I am so late posting this.. it's not that it hasn't been on my mind, just been crazy-busy with end of year stuff, and the usual wife/mom duties - y'all know how it is! But, without further ado, here is this summer's weekly themes and plans for this summer! This will help beat that dreaded "Mom, I'm bored!" It's worked really well in the past, and if there's a day that we don't get to that day's activities, that is completely OK! Life happens, and sometimes there's just too much going on to get to the library on Tuesday, or whatever the case is..
Please feel free to use this as a starting point for your summer! Some of the activities are active links that will take you to the website where I found some of the ideas, so make sure you check them out as well!

I love this time of year! Days are getting longer and we're able to spend more time outdoors together as a family and with friends! The kids are anxiously counting down the number of days until school is out for summer and they can be at the pool!
I'm on a low-carb nutrition plan, so I've adapted the menu this month to have mostly low-carb dinners; but I do not expect that my family will be as excited about the low-carb/no bread menu, so I made sure to have lots of family favorites that I can tweak to be low-carb for me, but still what they want as well!
