Sorry, my friends, that I am so late posting this month's menu! We've all been under the weather these first few days of February - my son and husband with flu, daughter with bronchitis, and I'm just trying not to catch any of it!
This month is going to be pretty easy, simple and comforting yet healthy dinners. Be on the lookout for some of the fabulous recipes that we try!
The holidays are here!! Thankfully, I've already bought most of the Christmas gifts, which is a major accomplishment! And it's going to open up more time for us to go out and do things together as a family: driving through the neighborhoods and enjoying the Christmas lights; various Christmas parades, festivals and craft markets; Christmas cookie baking party; all of the fun and magic of the holiday season!
I tried to be careful about planning very quick, easy and nutritious meals that won't take hours to cook, so that we can really maximize our time together. Wishing you all a very magical Christmas season!
The holiday season is officially upon us! Love all the time together with family and friends, and enjoying our family traditions. I can't believe that we are in November already, but ready for the festive season!
Attached is this months menu, carrying on with our young chef's nights as well as easy crockpot dinner nights, along with some family favorites sprinkled throughout!
Each year I look forward to September... and the arrival of autumn! Fall is my favorite time of year... cooler weather... sweaters and boots... leaves falling... apples and cinnamon... football... pumpkin everything...!!
This fall semester is also going to be crazy chaotic. Not only are our older two in athletics now, but also keeping up with my son's baseball practices and games, my youngest daughter is getting into sports this season (yay!!), my husband's work schedule, as well as my own class schedule, it's going to be nutso! That's why I'm so thankful for my crockpot, and HAVE to plan out our meals monthly. Helps keep everything moving right along, without having to stress about what's for dinner.
I've included some of our family fall fave meals into this plan, along with quite a few easy/quick dinners. Hope you have a great September... and Happy Fall Y'all!!
I love July, all of the red, white and blue, remembering and celebrating our nation's independence and all of the quality family time that brings with it. Don't forget the apple crisp and homemade ice cream that is perfect for a hot, summer day! Welcome to the dog days of summer, time to relax and chill by the pool when it starts getting too hot!
This month officially kicks off summer, and one of the many things I love about summer is grilling out! You will notice that the majority of the dinners I have planned have us grilling out, enjoying the weather and NOT heating up the inside of the house! It's time to get creative and try new marinades, spices and sauces; new ways to grill veggies and fruits, even some grilled bread! Let's get this summer started! :D
