You will need:
1 1/2 lb eye of round steak
1/4 cup green onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp fresh grated ginger
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1/2 tsp dried red pepper flakes
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp pepper
1/3 cup cold water
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp vegetable oil
about ten baby carrots, julienned
1 broccoli crown, sliced
1 can water chestnuts, drained
Disslove the cornstarch in the cold water and mix well. Set this to the side because you will be adding it to the marinade once the meat is removed to be cooked.
We served the stir-fry over a bed of fresh steamed rice and steamed edamame as a side! Excellent meal full of good-for-you veggies, lean protein and very healthy! Enjoy!
