What you need:
1 roast (for our family of five I used a 2 lb eye round roast, and it was the perfect amount)
2 cans of Campbell's french onion soup
salt and pepper to taste
It's really so simple, yet so chock full of flavor! Just add the roast to the crockpot, add in the two cans of french onion soup and about 1/2 can of water. Season with salt and pepper. Turn on low and cook for approximately 6-8 hours. I left ours in for the eight hours because it was frozen when I added it to the crockpot in the morning.
The best way to serve this, I think, is by cutting french bread into really thick slices. Then add the roast on top and ladle some of the french onion soup over that! I like to serve it with a green veggie, so I made green beans that were sauteed with onions and a little bit of bacon, salt and pepper.
It was so easy, so delicious and there were no leftovers!
