This is a huge family favorite! It's easy, delicious and beats out any other lasagna we've ever had!
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (I use Italian sausage for extra flavor)
6 oz can tomato paste
1 jar marinara sauce
1 sm. can sliced mushrooms (optional)
1/2 onion chopped
2 tsp minced garlic
3/4 cup water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp oregeno
1 tsp basil
1 package of Quattro formagio (or Italian-blend) shredded cheese
1 package of ricotta cheese
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 box no cook lasagna noodles
Directions:
Brown meat in onion and garlic; drain. Add salt, water, mushrooms, marinara sauce, tomato paste and spices. Pour 1/3 of meat sauce into bottom of slow cooker. Top with a layer of no boil lasagna noodles, breaking and laying them to make a layer. Next make a layer with 1/2 the ricotta cheese sliced on pasta layer, then 1 cup of the quattro formagio shredded cheeses. Make a second lasagna noodle layer. On top of that, make another layer of meat sauce. Repeat until ingredients are used. Top with a layer of meat sauce and sprinkle parmesan cheese generously on the top. Cover and set crock pot for 5 hours on low setting, or until done. Enjoy!
