Day 1: I am thankful that I am a Christian, a child of God, that I am surrounded by God’s love and thankful for the opportunities that I have to spread God’s love to others.
Day 2: I am thankful for my husband. He is my greatest supporter, a wonderful father to our children and an amazing friend. I love him and so glad that we get to share this amazing life together!
Day 3: I am thankful for our children. We have been blessed with three wonderful children and I am so proud of them. Each has their own quirky, amazing personality and I love them dearly! They are our greatest blessings!
Day 4: I am thankful for my family: parents, brother, sister, in-laws, nieces, nephews. They are the kindest, funniest, most generous people I know and I am so thankful that I am part of their lives! No matter the distance, they all show love, respect, encouragement. It is said that it takes a village to raise a child, and I’m blessed to be part of this ‘village’. I love each and every one of you!
Day 5: Today I am thankful for all things caffeine: Starbucks, coffee, tea! Without it, my days would definitely be rougher and probably less productive - ha!
Day 6: Today I am thankful for our four-legged family members: Jake, Rocco and Rusty. They are so sweet, protective, loving and make us all happy and leave us with a smile!
Day 7: I am thankful that we have a roof over our heads, a warm home that we live in, food in our bellies and that we truly do not want for anything. We are so blessed in that regard especially considering so many people struggle daily with basic necessities.
Day 8: I am thankful for Fridays! It means the end of the work week - hallelujah! And more time with my family on the weekends!
Day 9: I am thankful for a full night’s sleep and being able to sleep in this morning!
Day 10: I am thankful for airplanes and air travel! Flying sure beats the heck out of driving back to DFW!
Day 11: I am thankful for our Veterans - past, present and future! They take a stand every day to protect our freedom both in the U.S. and abroad and I very humbly thank you for your sacrifices.
Day 12: I am thankful for my jobs - being a mom, wife and my professional career as a healthcare recruiter and HR representative. Being a mom and a wife are my very first priorities and I couldn’t be more blessed with my family! Second, is my career as an HR representative and healthcare recruiter. I love that I can help people find the career that is best for them, most suits their needs and passions. Knowing that the job that I offer today is going to help put food on someone’s table, it’s going to offer benefits for someone’s family, it’s going to help make someone’s life financially more stable, is amazing.
Day 13: I am thankful for my girlfriends! They are each, in their own way, so supportive, funny, crazy and love them all!
Day 14: Today I am especially grateful for hot tea with honey and lemon. Hoping this will be the cure all for my sore throat!
Day 15: A friend posted this one and I liked it so much, I had to share as today’s post: I am thankful for karma. Good people, doing good things deserve good things back. You get back what you put out there. It’s up to you to not make it negative. But with the great balance of life, the reverse is absolutely true. If you are not a good person, not doing good things... well that was a choice wasn’t it?
Day 16: The selfish part of me is thankful that after today, there aren’t anymore scheduled games or practices for our kiddos until after the holidays! Now I can use that time to focus on our holidays!
Day 17: I am thankful for the church that we are a part of. Thankful that our kids eagerly look forward to going each Sunday, thankful that my husband goes with me and that as a family we are learning how to make ourselves, our family and our relationships in God’s image and as He has planned for us. #FellowshipChurch @fc
Day 18: I am thankful for the street that we live on, the safe neighborhood we live in, our great neighbors and the friends that our kiddos have nearby. All weekend our oldest two spent great quality time playing with their friends and had the best time. And we really do have the most thoughtful neighbors, always planning neighborhood get-togethers, checking in on everyone - theyre our second family!
Day 19: I am thankful for my joyful life. Thankful that I’ve made peace (whether internally or externally) with people or events in my life, so now I am better able to focus on leading a joy-filled life.
Day 20: I am thankful for technology and the positive ways that it influences our lives - whether it’s communication with family members who live far away, or allowing our children more resources in their schooling, or whatever the case may be - I'm thankful for the positive way that it influences our lives. I do wish, though, that people would stop allowing technology to lead them to live distracted lives - as if everything depends on their phone, tablets, whatever. Life is about living and creating moments with your kids, family and friends!! Live it!
Day 21: I am thankful for 'trials and tribulations' that only make me stronger and help reaffirm my faith!
Day 22: I am thankful for my health. Thankful that I don't have to take medicine for chronic illnesses. Thankful that I am able to exercise and push my body to the limits - knowing that I will only become stronger and more fit with time. Thankful that I can help our children live healthy lives by providing healthy, nutritious food for them to eat and help make sure they stay active.
Day 23: I am thankful for a roaring fire, hot cocoa and snuggling with my family while watching Home Alone. By far one of our favorite movies!
Day 24: I am thankful for my great-grandmother! We are so lucky to have her, have five generations together at one time. She absolutely has the best heart, greatest attitude, so warm and caring, always helping others. She is, always has been and always will be my role model!
Day 25: I am thankful for music. Music has been and continues to be a huge part of my life. It is a great outlet for emotions, sometimes music can say what someone has a hard time of saying, sometimes it just gets you movin' and smilin'. Music is powerful and I hope that our kiddos become as involved in music as I was - whether it's playing an instrument, singing, writing music - anything!
Day 26: Today I am thankful for the first Christmas movie of the season - Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, a family favorite!
Day 27: I am thankful for these next few days off and being able to celebrate with my family!
Day 28: I am thankful to be spending this holiday with our family, making memories and enjoying great food! Happy Thanksgiving!
Day 29: I am thankful for a great day of Christmas crafts, setting up and decorating our Christmas tree as a family and creating fun memories! That is what family time is really about!
Day 30: Thankful for the many blessings that I have received! Thankful for everyone in my life, family, friends, neighbors. Thankful for our health and happiness!
