I've really gotten into this first-thing-you-do-when-you-wake-up-in-the-morning ACV cocktail! First, ACV = Apple cider vinegar. ACV is touted to help support immune function, promote clearer skin, lower blood sugar levels, potentially help with weight loss, help lower cholesterol levels, level the pH in our bodies and help expel free radicals.
Many recipes I have found add a little bit of vinegar to a big glass of water. Vinegar is strong- why take a chance in not drinking it all because the drink is too big and the taste is too strong?
For me, I like a simple concoction of 1 tsp organic ACV, 1 tsp organic agave syrup, 1 tsp of lemon juice and about 3 oz. of filtered water.
Mix with a spoon and shoot it! It's going to taste like vinegar, so don't be alarmed when if it overpowers you. Quick, get some more plain water! And that's it! For all the benefits that are associated with ingesting ACV, this is really a minor issue. And to be honest, I started liking the taste of it after just a few days - LOL!
