My sister recently showed me an app that she's using to help her get back in shape, post-baby, and I love the whole concept behind it and oh boy, am I excited about using it! The app is called BodyShot. I know they have it on the Apple App Store, not sure if it's supported by Android or not. In this app, you are able to track your actual body measurements as well as capture a photo. You do this several times and then you can physically see the changes right in front of you! It will show inches lost (or gained, if that's what you're going for), percentages, calculates various BMI type scores. For $2.99 this app is so worth it and I started using it this week. I'm not sure what the app recommends as far as checking in, but I'm thinking about checking in and measuring once every two weeks - not too often and not too far between. I think that this app could be a huge motivator for people to "see" the changes happening to their body. I will post back in a couple of months to give some more feedback on this app, but so far I am very impressed with how easy it is to use, and how comprehensive it is for those who want to track their measurements rather than just weight lost/gained, etc.
