There are so many cute ideas for wreaths on Pinterest that it is hard to know where to start! BUT, I absolutely knew from the moment I saw a similar wreath that this is what I was making for the baby shower for my sister and for my darling niece's nursery! I cannot wait for my sister to see it and am beyond anxious to meet my niece! I just had to share :) Took maybe an hour to complete the whole thing!
This craft was really pretty simple, and my kids even helped out with tying the tulle on! I started with an embroidery hoop and used the inside piece that is one whole piece and not cut. Next, I used three different colors of tulle and alternated, working our way around the entire hoop. I really just eye-balled the length of the tulle when I was cutting it, but if I had to put a measurement on it, I would say that I cut each piece close to nine or ten inches in length. This is the part where my kiddos helped, and it allowed me to work on the initial!
For the initial, I found the letter that I wanted and the scrap book paper, then modpodged the scrapbook paper right onto the letter. I didn't worry about cutting out the paper until after the mod podge had dried. I then sealed with another layer of satin pod podge over the top, to give a more finished look. When I was at Hobby Lobby, I found this cute brown, burlap, satin flower and it was absolutely perfect to go with the brown/burlap décor for the baby shower as well as my niece's room! I think it was a pin or a button or something, but I very carefully took those parts off without destroying the flower, then hot glued the flower right onto the initial. Finished up with a piece of ribbon to connect the initial to the hoop and viola!
