There appear to be quite a few health benefits related to the cranberry water cleanse. First, it helps your kidneys and lymphatic system work more productively to better remove waste and fat from the body. Also, cranberry is a natural antioxidant which helps neutralize the free radicals that can lead to cancer, heart disease, diabetes and other conditions. Cranberry juice is also high in vitamin C and can boost your immune system.
It's really very simple. First, you need 100% cranberry juice, NOT from concentrate, NOT a juice cocktail blend and with NO added sweeteners, preservatives, etc (I like the R. W. Knudsen). Be prepared - this juice is a little thicker and a lot more bitter than the cranberry juice cocktail that you may be used to. Mix about two ounces of the cranberry juice with about six to eight ounces of filtered water. I drink this two to three times a day, and also eat healthy, clean meals. This is NOT one of those cleanses where you only drink juice. Eat your normal meals and simply add this concoction two to three times day for as long as you want. I would recommend trying a few (two to three) days max at first to make sure it's working for you. Also make sure you're drinking plenty of water with it as well. You will notice the cleanse starts working very quickly. I think in the first 24 hours I had already lost three pounds. Just be careful, cranberry is a natural diuretic and adding too much of the juice will have you looking for the closest restroom!
As with all things, everything in moderation. Try it for a day to make sure you have no adverse side effects, add or modify as you feel is best for you. I am not a doctor, but this is something that has worked well for me.
